I am looking to get a new Lite On dual layer DVD recorder. I have an a fairly new Alpine AM/FM/CD in the car.

If I record music on both sides - will it play in my car? Would I just flip the cd manually to hear both sides?

Thanks for the help.

If you burn double sided CDs then you could just flip the CDs yes, the CD player would just think the different sides are different discs.

DVDs won't work of course.

So I can record music on the DVD - and play it back on the CD player - right? Just making sure.

Thanks

You can record music onto CDs using the DVD burner that will play back in the car stereo, but not onto DVDs.

Well, thats a bummer. I was thinking that I could record any kind of media to the dvd, such as music or large audio files - and be able to play them back in my car - that the cd player would recognise audio.

That is the main reason I wanted this recorder - to record large audio files (sermons).

Oh, well - need a new plan. Any ideas? At this time, I am not really into recording or backing up movies.

Thanks
