I sprang for some high performance Michelin tires to replace the crap ones that were there.

And Wow! The car is way quieter, has way more grip, loses traction in a very controllable manner and just makes it feel so much more solid.

It did cost $550 dollars for four tires, though, and from what I understand they are good for around 20,000 miles.

Which is OK for me since I drive maybe 5K miles a year. Hopefully less.

I still hate driving but at least it is a little more fun now.

That is extremely cheap for 4 new tires. I need 4 new ones for my 02 Max and I'm looking at least $700 for cheaper/mid-line tires.

BFGoodrich Traction T/As ... I got 4 for about 400$, last around 70k miles, great for winter/summer conditions. quiet too.
