Anyway, just got back from driving the 2001 BMW. Whoo-wee, In mint condition, inside and out, BMW-certified, 55K miles, has extended warranty (100K) on powertrain, electrical, etc... and he want $17K. Is it worth it? Cuz my ol' 2000 Camry is feeling quite depressing right now.

wow...that doesn't sound bad at all. New cars only have around 40K-50K miles warranty as well.

Just checked the BMW Certified warranty conditions. The warranty is good (for this particular car) until 8/07, so ~1 1/2 years of coverage, plus free roadside assistance. I'm really, really tempted right now...
