Having a hard time trying to find a glossy LCD monitor. I love how glossy LCDs look on laptops and want one for my desktop, I'm just having a terrible time trying to find one. Every monitor I look at is missing a specification about whether it's a matte or glossy screen.

For example, I'm looking at the LG W2600H-PF that Newegg has on sale for $350 [Text] and no where does it say what the screen is.

Some monitors will say they have a "glossy finish" but WTH does that mean? For example, the Samsung 2433BW High Glossy monitor sure sounds like his has a glossy screen, but when you look at the specs it says "Cabinet Color: High Glossy Black". So it's just the cabinet color that's glossy or the screen as well?

Why does this have to be so hard? I just want a 24-26" LCD with a glossy screen under $350.

Have you considered the HP w2408h?

Some people apparently really dislike the glossy finishes, but I find the color vibrancy to be better, and I have my desk pointed so the sun doesn't usually shine directly on the screen.

I expect my finder's fee in the mail.
OP wants a monitor with a reflective/glossy screen, not a monitor with a piano black outer edge.

Correct, but I appreciate the help Udgnim

AmberClad, no, I really haven't considered the HP LCD. I've read some decent reviews on it but for around the same amount of money I can get the LG 26" LCD if it's glossy.

I'm 95% sure that the LG-2600H-PF is a matte screen.

Frankly, I second AmberClad's hp 2408h recommendation. It is a beautiful monitor, provided you win the Samsung panel lottery ("LTM" designation in the service menu), but it is on the expensive side ~ $400.

You have to remember you are looking at TN-panels here, and the larger you go, the vertical viewing angle limitation of a TN starts to become more noticeable due to the larger screen real estate. If I were you, I'd stay at 24" for TNs -- just my opinion, based on what I've been looking at the past month.

The LG W2600H-PF is a matte finish and not glossy

The LG L227WTG-PF is glossy (and is an awesome gaming monitor, check out the monitor sticky)
The older LG L226WTG-BF is matte finish

The HP W2207, W2208h, w2408h, and w2558h are all glossy monitors

Gateway also has some 22 and 24 inch monitors that are glossy but I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head.

Samsung used to make glossy monitors but I haven't seen any recently. One of my old favorites was the Samsung 2232gw (gw being glossy instead of bw).

I just got an Acer Ferrari F-22 (22") which is glossy. Buy.com had it for $200 shipped. It has DVI, VGA and HDMI inputs.

the Toc Series Samsung LCD-TV's are SUPER glossy.

i bought a 32" LCD 1080p TV to use as a computer monitor, i'm selling it because it's too glossy.

you want glossy, Samsung has glossy. they have "ToC" LCD monitors too. you could get a little one and use it as a rear-view mirror on your car.
