Thx for that post, lookin4dlz! After reading that I'm pretty well set on Corsair XMS PC2700 CAS2 RAM, but I was also very impressed by the Crucial PC2700 which compared pretty well with the Corsair in most tests and is currently $70 after coupon at their website.

Nice link, just what I've been wanting to see :) I picked up a stick of the Crucial 2700DDR a few weeks back for 65$ through the hot deals forum and It's been a jewel, it's good to see it confirmation that it's an outstanding value.

Good link, I wondered how high I would be able to get my Samsung pc2700 and now I know that it probably won't be the ram limiting my oc'ing.

I'm glad I found the link & that it's been helpful to you all :) Whoever put that together saved me a lot of time because on a lot of the links they showed the timings and speed at which the memory was running. I was thinking about the Kingmax DDR400, but after reading reviews here I'll get the Corsair or Samsung PC2700.

Any body notice how to do the memory caching for File system test under sandra???
under Xtreme DDR3200...first post...they took some left over memory for caching...interesting how much higher the file system benchmark went up...it beats out RAIDing 2 DMA100 hd at 7200rpm by at least 2 times...
would that help your overall system performance or hurts it???
