Totally confused on which mobo I should go for.I prefer going with Asus.
What features I need are ─

1.CrossfireX/SLI support at PCI Express 3.0/2.0 at x8/x8(for future)
2.LGA 1155 support for 2nd gen Intel i5-2500K
3.OCable upto atmost 4 Ghz(I won't cross that mark)
4.Price within $ 170
5.No bluetooth,USB 3.0,SSD support required.
6.No Ivy bridge upgrade intended now.

It's for a purely gaming rig.Preferrable choices should be between P8P67 and P8Z68 series otherwise it's outta mu budget.

Other specifications of the build are ‼6

1.Intel i5-2500K
2.Asus Radeon HD 7850
3.Fractal Design Core 3000
4.Antec EA650-D Green 650 watts 80+
5.Seagate 500 Gb SATA III 7200 rpm
6.G.Skill 8 gb DDR3 1600 Mhz
7.Intel's stock heatsink/cooler.

Hey, the man said he wanted an Asus! 😀

Anyway, he plans to overclock to 4GHz only, anyway. VRM cooling shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I'd take ASUS over biostar or asrock anyday. Motherboard reviews are always more favorable to asus motherboards in performance and overclocking as well.

I used to be the same way. Asus or death but ASRock is getting so much better and this Z77 Biostar is amazing. Yeah the NIC died but its been rock steady for my 3570K

It(biostar) is definietly great for price/performance, i'd like to see some websites do some extensive reviews on it. I guess I just don't know enough about the biostar brand...
