Want a 24" or maybe 22" monitor for gaming...how r these?

I am look to get a 24" or possibly 22" lcd primarily for gaming. I will also watch dvd's on it...and if possible use it as a tv? I want the best bang for the buck...I'm upgrading from a 19" crt @ 1600x1200

I have looked into a couple options:

My first choice b/c of payment plan and warranty: DELL E248WFP 24"

Second Choice...looks great in person! Acer P243WBD 24"

Third Choice: HP w2207 22" over samsung w226

Dunno any other good options

Has anyone gamed on the dell? how is it?

If you want to watch TV (HD, I assume), I'd stick to the 24" models with HDCP and 1:1. The HP and Samsung 22" can't letterbox 16:9 to the monitor's native 16:10.

Is teh dell 24" non-ultrasharp model good for gaming and movie/tv? At a little under $400 it seems like a great deal if it does good gaming
