UPDATE
I am having problems!

I have bby radeon 9500 pro 128mb AGP
I have saphire radeon 9200 se PCI

In Firefox, Thunderbird, and any Microsoft Office software, I am CONSTANTLY getting illegal operations and it shuts them down without any warning or glitches or anything! I have a feeling it has to do with this setup, because it has only been happening after adding the radeon 9200se. I have the newest ATI drivers and i'm still running into this, and it is getting quite frustrating. Anyone have any clue as to why? I just barely went into device manager and disabled the 9200 and sure enough,

Hey guys,

I want to setup four monitors. I am currently running two viewsonic P95F+b's and have two viewsonic PS790's just chillen and want to set them up, to be running FOUR MONITORS TOTAL.

I have a ATI Radeon 9500 PRO (AGP) and running a VGA and DVI off of it. What PCI video card would run those other two monitors just fine and dandy? If I went to play a game, it would use the 9500 pro AGP before the PCI, correct? Thanks to anyone that can help me out! I just want to make sure I get something optimal for what I need done.

I believe the memory on your video card would split between 2 monitors (meaning 128mb would split into 64-64 into 2 monitor)

if you want to run 4 monitors, get a PCI card like geforce 2. it would do just fine.

There's more brilliant ideas than to have an NVidia card alongside an ATi ...

Plant a dual monitor capable PCI Radeon alongside it. Set your BIOS to make the AGP card the primary VGA. Sorted.

hrmm.. newegg only has radeon 9200 PCI and it doesnt have DVI, only VGA and S+video. any specific piece people have had experience with?

I don't know if they made GF2MX/GF4MX cards with dual outputs... there's also the RADEON 7000 and RADEON 8500; one of those might fit the bill. Also the FX5200, I guess...

Look into a Radeon 7000 in PCI. Most of them have DVI (though its only one DVI, other port is VGA) and Newegg has them for $40'ish.

picked up a 9200se pci and got everything setup. sweeeeeeeet

You're gonna have a year-long tan with those puppies running! Four hot viewsonic 19" CRT's sucking 500-600W of continuous power... impressive!

And here I am not liking my 1 CRT in a dual monitor setup. This does give me ideas though, maybe I'll go triple-head once I get my second LCD...

😕

I can understand a dual monitor setup... although I do not have one.

can't be overheating, because it happens even when the system is shut down for a long period of time. It really isnt a rythm to it. Like sometimes the programs close up on me within 10-15 minutes of each other, and sometimes once every hour.
