Wanna Sell My AMD64 Setup! - Am I Crazy???

Short and sweet. I am not liking the "lack" of overclockability I was used to with my Barton 2500+ rig (previous box) with my current AMD 64 3000+ / Aopen AK86-L / 1 GB Crucial DDR400 rig. I currently have a x800Pro that I am overclocking, and have this sadistic desire to overclock my CPU as well, and just can't get to the levels I want to without risking stability of my rig because of lack of PCI/AGP locks on this setup. Add to the fact that I am not seeing any noticable differences in performances in today's games gives me the thought of selling my joint and going back to comfortable, warm and fuzzy world of Socket A.

What are your opinions, guys? I mean, I know that once 64-bit OS/Software/Games start coming out (next year probably) that I may kick myself, but I will probably want to upgrade by then anyway to the technology of that day.

Anyway - your opinions mean a lot, guys. Let me have it.

Um... perhaps you should invest in a second-generation S754 motherboard with an AGP/PCI lock if you want to OC, instead of selling your whole system.

You should sell your setup, and get an Nforce3 250 board and an athlon64 mobile.

That's why I'm not an early adopter to 1'st gen chips and mobo's. I"ll keep my 3200+ /NF7S for quite a bit longer....
