That was the first movie I ever saw on IMAX (it's called OMNIMAX here because it's housed at OMSI, the Oregon Museum for Science and Industry). Great film.

True story, my brother rescued a beaver that had somehow found its way onto a busy street in downtown Portland. He kept it inside for a while, until my mother complained about the smell, because beavers basically smell like a corpse that someone sprayed PineSol on. He fashioned an enclosure out of an old bathtub, some chicken wire and plywood, and set it up in the backyard. The beaver, Martine, would hang over the edge of the tub and smack her tail into the wood/chicken wire for hours on end, every single night. She made a LOT of noise. I mean, we're talking 100+ decibels per smack, over and over and over. She also had a tendency to bite if you tried to pet her, and more than once she chased me around the backyard.

So, beavers are noisy, smelly fuckers who want nothing else but to annoy and eventually eradicate all humans. Appropriately enough, beavers are c*nts. They're real cute though, so that's a plus.

Eventually my brother released the beaver in the wetlands in (this is true) Beaverton, Oregon.
