Wanna see NV45? Straight from Computex

Excellent! thanks! ooo..pci express stuff. Boy those pci express x1 slots are tiny. With only one x16 slot does this mean that only video cards will use the x16 pci express slot?? Will nothing else ever need it?? Will every other pci express card such as future sound cards..etc.. only need the x1 slots?

Here's what we do know about NV40, it's currently running at a 450MHz core clock with 1.1GHz GDDR3 memory; this particular card uses Samsung chips. The 450MHz clock speed is a 12.5% increase in core clock speed over the GeForce 6800 Ultra, with memory speed remaining unchanged.
NV40 at the top appears like it should be NV45

You rule AnAnd! Think we could some more news on the BTX Situation? Do motherboard manufactures really want to adopt this standard? Whats with the top connection on the Nvidia NV45?

Eh, I was just pointing out that DVI was actually a standard, and w/ a dongle it will work fine b/c this version of DVI (DVI-I?) also has a pass through analog output, thus the use of dongles...

Josh

Edit:
I should have put a smily in to know that i was just joking that you were blind 🙂

Also at least in a america dual is spelled dual, not duel, duel is a reference to a combat between two people...

Don't mind me that im just a little resentful being with a 754 😉

And didn't know Anand visited the forums, what a surprise indeed.

thoes pico btx boards look awsome, i cant wait until more are released, i love all the nano/mini/pico type sized hardware the market direction is going in as of late.

We're hearing that it's going to be fixed by production time, which is scheduled for early July.

Wow, so much cool lookin' stuff! BTX motherboards, PCI-E video cards, Intel 9xx boards.. 😀 I think that Dual Socket 754/939 ASRock board is the coolest thing I've seen in a while 😉 Also, that mini-heatpipe heatsink on the Gigabyte DPS module on the new Intel board is interesting...

Lookin' good, Anand. 😀 You think you're gunna be stopping by Thermalright's booth? I wanna see some of their new stuff including that XP-120. If you could get any info on release dates or just more pics, that'd be awesome. 🙂

Hear, hear!! 😀

Those motherboards look nuts - what do I see on some of them, 3 IDE connectors, and 4 SATA connectors? Firewire, USB, loads of connectors on the back, 6 RAM slots (though they are for DDR and DDR2)...and finally heatsinks on the southbridge and voltage regulators. Wow.

Those mobo manufacturers need some color coordinators, yellow/orange/purple/red/puke green come on.
And i expected the nv45 to be a bit more then a 50mhz bump.
