Wanna get a Cellphone but no credit

is there anyway I can get a cellphone w/o having any real credit? (I don't want a prepaid one.) I have a debit card and I've used it alot, but that's it. I'm a fulltime student and I used to have a workstudy job 2 yrs ago, but since then I haven't worked. I know they usually ask you for an insane deposit if you have no credit too.

I think at&t doesn't require a credit check anymore.

get a student CC for a few months.. then go get the cell phone.

what about tmobile? oh, and generally, what kind of credit rating do i have? good/bad?

So... you don't have a job but you see the need to spend $40+ per month?



Anyway, if you've never done anything that requires credit, you don't have a credit rating, you have unestablished credit. Some places see this as just as high risk as bad credit and usually take note of your demographic to give you a psuedo-rating. Young male, college student, no job... likely to do anything to get what they want but doesn't have squat to his name... don't count on much of anything.

You have to usually put down a deposit, if you haVe low/no credit.
Deposit varies, but it's usually like the cost of the phone ( $250-350 ish?)
