If you are running XP Pro, use Remote Desktop to log into one of your networked PCs (if you have some).
Then, on that PC that you are currently using via remote desktop, attempt to log into the PC you are actually running.

For me, that caused an instant crash to a restart 🙂

sweet, i've often wondered if you could RDT from computer to computer creating a daisy chain of about 25 computers

It's almost like the company is run by the marketing department and the programmers were an afterthought. But that can't be, after all, "Vista" is planning on including several features that have been in other operating systems for years and will probably be dropped anyways. You don't get that kind of dedication to software from anyone else.

you can, but you msut start at a server and log on to other pcs

I've done this before. And TBH, there is no logical reason the developers should have ever considered that ANYONE would ever do it. It would also be pretty hard to patch out, not worth the effort on their part.

If you have a laptop with WinXP and a PCMCIA wireless card, put the laptop on standby & pull out the card, then resume - instant BSOD.

doesn't crash for me...

what does eventually crash my machine is if i do a search on all my drives for *.exe, then select all the results and hit enter

😛

Ever connect a video camera's output to a larger monitor (32") and point the camera at it? Looks like a big tunnel through space. Trippy! 🙂

I have run Remote Desktop from work into a home computer. I then remoted into a computer inside my home LAN because firewall only allows you to open ports for 1 computer.

Not instant crash.

How to crash your PC?

Run IE. Nuff said. I did that once w/o SP2 and w/o popupblocker. 5 sites later, I had Blaster Worm and about 5 spywares. Reformatted immediately (this was after a reformat to begin with).
