i think i'd feel too yuppy sitting on that thing.

i use both mac and pc. but it'd be silly for me to say that any G4 can own a pc.

Yes, it was. My home machines are PCs because they're much less expensive, but at work I'm always on a G4. If Apple's machines didn't cost so much, I'd dump all my Athlon machines and replace them with G4s in a minute.
Not the one I'm on right now. 400MHz G4, PC100 RAM...I know a 3GHz P4 could tear it apart. However, this machine could stand up to an 800MHz or so Athlon. Plus, OS X is the best OS out there right now, for any platform.

i'd tell you... usually, the manufacturers are biased towards their own products.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with a Mac. Its an alternate platform for people who want to get away from Windows.
Actually, i think Apple should be applauded. They are the only alternate computer company thats still around - Commodore, Amiga, Atari, and countless others all went out of business. Apple is the only one that survived against the all mighty PC, and is actually doing quite well for themselves! I think that in itself deserves commendation.

You're just another MacFanatic who loves to pay more for a system that doesn't outperform a pc. Look at the facts. There's nothing out there that supports the fact that Macs are better. Get over yourself.

going back to 'the best OS' argument, how do you measure OS'es?
there is no such thing as 'the best os for any platform'
if all you want to do is play games... there's none better than win 98se.
for web serving? *nix?
database server? debatable.
i mean the list goes on.
while under any given category... their might be an os that's better than the most...
in my opinion... osx does not top out on any categories except for perhaps in cool/snooty category.
only an ignorant fool will say that 'ah... this is the best os out there!'... nevermind for any platform.
that just tells you how much he doesn't know about os'es and platforms.
so why should i list out all my reasons as to why i'd take linux over mac osx ... when i know that i'm dealing with a fool?

i think that whole argument of macs are for artists... is a misconception.
perhaps back in mid 90's that was true...
since most graphic softwares were written for macs.
but nowadays... it really isn't the case.
don't get me wrong... i love macs. i have two macs at home... right now... along with 2 AMD's.
but whatever advantage that mac had over pc... hardware wise..
isn't there any more.
software wise... same deal.
os wise... since OSX is based on unix... it really is a mood point.
and on your note of getting along...
i want to get along. otherwise i'd hate myself for using both.
i don't trash either one. but i just don't appreciate people trashing without facts.
