hi, got a 1.47 running on an nforce board w/the alpha PAL 8045, some ASII. at first, my temps were idle at about 39C, load 47ish. Then after two days or so, my idle temp was at 37 with load 43. NOW, after two days or so of that cool fit, it's back up, now running 42 idle/49 load (provided by d.net). I've been running d.net as much as possible, running computer nearly 24/7 as a sort of rolling burn-in, and observed this general trend. So, anyone have a logical explanation for this? I heard about the whole "settling in" deal with ASII, but I'd hope it wouldn't evaporate by now or anything scary like that... the only thing I can really think of is possibly a change of ambient pressure/temperature in my room, it got cold here so we closed the window (iddy biddy dorm room). case temp (I think... sensor 1) is 32C, doesn't change much from that.
thanks,
k2

It is probably a combination of the settling in the AS2 and the change in ambient temp. Ambient temp can have a very profound impact on your CPU temp.
