WAN Miniport (IP) #2 in device manager?

Hi,

I found out yesterday that i have the above device(with yellow exclamation mark) sitting
in my device manager with my nic's. It was not there a few weeks ago, and i can't delete
it. Also if i uninstall my 2 nic's it won't get away, the only thing that worked was to delete it from the registry, but it is there again next time i reboot.
Who can tell me what it is? Also if you need more info ask!

Im not sure what it is but you should be able to disable it. In device mgr if you open up the properties for that device at the bottom you should be able to disable in the hardware profile or in win2k there is a dropdown. That way it wont re-detect it when you reboot after deleting the device.

I can disable it, already tried that, but the only way to kill it is to remove the key from the registry. The next reboot it's back. Don't know why it's there...getting a bit paranoid..
Had some SEVERE net attacks last week (48000 probes from one guy in 10 minutes)
