Okay, i've got a wireless nic in my laptop that is connected to my friends network.

Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
My ip: 192.168.1.125

I've also got a wired card in it.

Now, i have several other computers on my network that I want to connect through the wireless card on my laptop to my friends network so I can get get internet access untilmy internet gets installed Thursday. I've allready tried setting up a bridge, but there are too many wlan networks around and my card craps out cause of the aamount of traffic it has to filter/pass.

I would like to setup some simple routing on my laptop(debian/linux) so taht I can get my other computers up on the internet.

I would have just split up my friends network using 2 subnets, his on one and mine on another...but he wont let me change his subnet :(.

What kind of addressing scheme should I use in order to get what I need?

Thx in Advance.

If you laptop is running XP, use the ICS to share among the other PC and disable the ICF for the wireless nic.

Oh one more thing. Since you have a wire network already. If that is a wireless 4 port router, you can run the wire from your laptop to the wan port of the router and then use the router with a different subnet to assign ip to your internet network.

Not to be a jackass...but did you read my post at all? My laptop is running Debian/Linux.

If I were to run a cable from my wired port to a router, it would work great for the computers on my nw...but once the packets got to my Laptop they wouldn't know what to do! That's what I am trying to figure out, how to route the packets from MY lan, through my laptop to the other lan so they can talk to the wan.
