I'm curious since my PC has two NICs if I can have one setup with a WAN ip and deal with all internet traffic and use the other for my LAN. If this isn't possible without some hardcore crap then meh that sucks.
Ah I should state that this is a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install fully updated. I just want my LAN connection to allow PS3 Media Server and my other media shares to share over the network and I want everything else to use the WAN connection.
there's actually a very good reason I'm doing this. i have a timewarner cable business line that i pay extra for. my older linksys router was having problems with the wireless and it finally shit out so I went and purchased a netgear. it's a goddamn piece of shit and i'll never buy netgear again. I have absolutely no internet connectivity issues plugged into my modem with my ip information, going through the netgear my PC cannot keep an internet connection for longer than like 5 - 10 minutes, most the time i have to /release /renew every minute. So what I want to do is plug one side into the router to share with the 360 and the other into my modem so I can actually have an internet connection. Netgear has been no help and I've literally spent 20+ hours fucking with this router so I'm done fucking with it and I want to work around it or I'm going to mail it to netgear with a postit attached asking for a refund.
