Hello:
My friend is having difficulty connecting to the WAN at a Super8 hotel. The workers seem to no nothing about the network, so I thought I might find some good advice here!
Initially, he was connected to the unsecured WAN and could use the internet w/o any problems. This didn?t last long, however, as the connection altogether stopped working. He has full signal bars. He tried repairing the connection (Windows XP). He used iponfig /release and /renew and it successfully changed his IP address. Yet, he cannot surf, I cannot ping him, and he cannot ping others.
Any advice? Thanks for any help!
