Wamu stinks

OK I'm closing my account with WAMU today even though I just opened it two weeks ago.

1) TD Bank north is 10 times better
2) Their website is always down
3) They aren't as good as they say they are, not as polite on the phone 🙂

It irked me when I was banking with WAMU because the damn ATM machine would be out of cash about 40% of the time.

I agree.

I had a savings account with them for 7 years. Then was charged $25 one month for "too many savings transactions."

Ok, that is fine. I didn't read the fine print. BUT, I have been a customer for 7 years. Can't you give me ONE break?

couldn't you call them up and ask to remove it.

Yeah, I was pretty disapointed too. I heard all these cool stories about shamu, and when I finally got near him, his stench over-powered me.

Exactly. I've never seen a bank not give ONE break if you ask for it. If you ask for 10 breaks, you'll be out of luck, but banks almost always give one break.

😕

I did ask for a break, both over the phone and at the branch I set the account up in.

They both told me sorry, there was nothing they could do.

I immediately closed the account and haven't looked back since.

It was more than just the $25. It was about showing a loyal customer some thanks for being a loyal customer.

ive been with wamu since.... high school. haven't had a single issue with them yet. your just a whiny customer i'm sure.

some people always find any reason to bitch and complain....stuff happens...with EVERY company..bank, store, restaurant, whatever....nothing is perfect.

I've been with WAMU for more than 10 years and I've never had a single problem...I've been lucky with this particular aspect of my life...so far. Something may happen in the future though...and if it does...I'll deal with it accordingly 🙂

Thanks for telling me.

I've been with them since day one.

I'll quit tomorrow.
