Walt Disney World question

Anyone ever flew into Orlando and then went to Disney World?

Did you take a cab, a prearranged service, or go with something else?

I'm heading down there next month, this is the only thing I haven't arranged yet. I have flight, tickets and room inside the park already arranged. I know it is better if you have more thant four but this time it is only two. 😉

Thanks.

I think DisneyWorld has shuttle buses..

Check with Disney...

I remember going down there for business, they put us in Disney buses to the park..

Actually, i've went but didn't get to stay at the resort inside of Disney World. Most hotels down there have shuttle busses (although you'll have an actual tram) to and from the parks as well as from the hotel/resort to the airport.

I would actually call and see what yours is doing. I would imagine they have a service to get you to the resort and back to the airport.

Since you are staying inside the park, it's free now (It says starts in may, but it already did)

New! Disney's Magical Express Service*
This service which is scheduled to start May 5, 2005, is available and complimentary during the Happiest Celebration on Earth, lets your vacation start the moment you land at Orlando International Airport. This is just one more advantage of staying at a Disney Resort.
Don't bother picking up your luggage when you arrive; Disney takes you from Orlando airport to check-in, while your bags go straight from the plane to your room.
Save on transportation costs, tolls, parking, and more.
Enjoy comfortable transportation to and from the airport in state-of-the-art air conditioned motor coaches.
When your vacation's over, you and your bags are whisked back from your Disney Resort to the airport.

I read not too long ago that Disney now provides transportation from the airport to their property IF you are staying at a Disney hotel.

If that's you, you ought to call them to see how it works.

I was staying at a resort, so I used their prearranged bus/van service. It worked pretty well. My parents reimbursed the cost of it, so I wasn't too concerned with the price. (I think it was 25 dollars or so for two people, but YMMV). I'm not sure if it's more expensive than a cab.

Overall, the service was good. We didn't have to wait at the airport very long before we left. But we were the last resort to get dropped off, but it wasn't a big deal.

Edit: what hotel are you staying at? And remember to make dinner reservations. (it's probably not crowded now, but it's still a good idea.)

Wow! More money to spend inside the park...

Thanks, I am looking into it now.

Remember that the reason Disney offers this service is to keep you from leaving the property. People without rental cars can't go to MickeyD's to eat a cheap dinner.

There's a mammoth Mickey D's in the middle of the Epcot resort area.
