I am not surprised about that. Absolutely distugsting and sad.
A local Wal-Mart in the Metro Detroit area this morning was in the news as a guy pulled a gun on another guy for buying the last "good deal" TVs.
WTF?

 
whats strange is that the walmart closed... the one here(which i used to work at) always stayed open 24 hrs, to AVOID the swell of people at the front door.

I feel bad for the guy because he worked there, but presumably this woman was far enough along that maybe she should have understood that it's not in the best interest of her health to be around other low-class hyenas who devolve into starved beasts fighting over scraps on Black Friday. I do think people lining up like this and rushing to their consumer goods shows the true depravity of modern civilization.

This story is crushing. Waves of grief are stampeding through my mind, any hopes for a good day have been stomped out.

I waited for about 30 minutes at my local big box. . . They had handed out tickets for the laptops and computers. . . while I was waiting at the desk to get a monitor - a lady came up (well into the sale after they'd opened the doors half an hour ago) and yelled to the man - I want one of those cheap laptops. Everyone around erupted in laughter at the woman. . . then she demanded the laptop . . . things were getting good, but they handed my my monitor and I was tired.

You know.. trampling happens for a reason. Those people are not any stupider than the general public of ATOT.

They are stupider than those of us who knew bette than to put ourselves in that environment to begin with.

 
I went to a walmart about an hour ago to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy which luckily they were still letting people access but they had shut down the rest of the store. I heard it was out of hand, people fighting, broken bones, I just dont get it. And this is actually a well kept and clean walmart in a good area.
