Has Lindows ever got around to releasing the source code like they are supposed to?

They shouldnt have to until they release binaries. If its all kept internal, no code needs to be released (atleast thats how I understand it).

The insiders have binaries because they are installing and I have still yet to hear of anyone getting source code with them.

Maybe none of the GPLed software has been modified.

I think they have. I dont know if you read slashdot, but they had a big discussion over Lindows' refusal to release the code. They (Lindows) say they will release the sourcecode when they release the final version.
We'll just have to wait and see, but if they don't release it, they'lll have an army of angry geeks chasing them.
