Walmart Return Policy - Returning items without a receipt?

I know that I can only return 3 items a year, but does that mean I have to wait a whole year to return 3 more items? or do they just go by like the entire 2006 year and restart every new year?

For Example:
Can I return 3 items without a receipt in December 2006, and then return 3 more items without a receipt in January 2007?

I'm thinking no, but I can't think of a better time to try it than now...

Edit: They may have relaxed that policy since it's right after Christmas

It's been 3 items a year for a long time. They track it via your drivers license when you don't have your receipt.

I would assume they restart the count every January but I do not know for sure.

just for people with no receipt
