Walmart glasses

Cogman

Lifer
I went to walmart with my eye glass perscription and they gave me some crappy lenses. Its pretty bad. I have astigmatism and am far sighted. The vision on these are much worse then my old pair. With this one I have to look straight and only straight if I look a little to the left, right, up, or down. BAM out of fouces.

The reason im posting this is I was wondering if Im just crazy? (well, yah, but you know what I mean) Did I choose the wrong frame (it has a more circular look too it then my old pair did) or is walmart just using cheap lenses to match my eyes. I would like to know. Thanks.

I just got some new glasses from Wal-mart under a week ago and I'm happy with them. I'd take them back and have them double check that the prescription is correct. If it is then your eye exam must have gone wrong somehow.

Ill take it back with the perscription on paper to see if there is a typo. The thing is, Straight ahead (And I mean now variance to the left or right) is clear and perfect, but anywhere else is off. It makes it a bit hard to walk as everything around is blurred and moving (almost makes me feal sick). I don't know if that is a non uniform lens or what the deal is, but I dont like it.

I got my current set of glasses at Sam's Club, but I will never go there again. They had to send them back four or five times because they could never get the lenses right.

i got my glasses done at costco quite a few times, no complaints. i'd get some more expensive stuff but i lose them so often it would be a poor financial decision

Give it a week or so to let your eyes adjust to the new perscription ... if its still bothering you after that time, then go back & complain.

That's what you get when you go to a big-box retailer to buy your glasses rather than buy them from an eye doctor who specializes in the care and health of your eyes.

Most of the time, you get what you pay for.
