So on CyberMonday I ordered two pairs of Samsung Galaxy Buds+ (50% off) from Walmart, as they have them the cheapest. Instead of delivery, I selected pickup from the local supercenter two days later.

Fast forwarded to yesterday, just two hours before my scheduled pickup time, got email from Walmart that they are out of stock and my order was cancelled.. Shouldn't they be reserving my order ahead of time? Wife and kid been wanting new earbuds and Samsung supposedly have the best sound.

I checked the website right away and it still listed the buds a available to be pickup at the same store on the same day! So I placed an order again, but have it delivered. Now this morning I saw some neighbors on NextDoor posted that Walmart don't use other shippers anymore, but DoorDash, and a few have reported missing item (package opened and left empty)...

Anyone have experienced problem with Walmart delivery through Doordash on nonfood items?

Well you can definitely get better sounding wireless buds, just maybe not at 50% off

Yeah, there are better ones, but unfortunately my budget is limited. Will see now the delivery goes. They just updated me saying instead of tomorrow, its changed to Saturday.

Wasn't there another thread/post on this very topic not too far back?

Someone else here (maybe VirtualLarry) mentioned something about doordash doing deliveries from walmart, but he hadn't mentioned issues, just whether or not he should tip them.

There are some good Senns and Cambridge audio wireless buds that are a hundred bucks

We get so many misdelivered Walmart packages to our address that our hallway looks like a return center. I helped one lady yesterday, she got a shoe rack she had ordered weeks ago & I was able to tell her FedEx retrieved two more misdelivered boxes earlier in the week.

I will never order online from Walmart

I don't order from them often, but they've always got the order right, whether I set it for store pick up or delivery.

I got a free Walmart+ sub so we've had several deliveries - all went just fine. A third party vendor did screw up and that is not as easy to deal with as Amazon. Not bad just not as easy. But we also have good FedEx and USPS luck too and never had a package stolen from our porch so YMMV

our neighborhood isn’t terrific so we put all mislabeled / misdelivered boxes in our hallway. After several call with Amazon it stopped happening with them. We try to make sure the correct service picks things up if I can’t find the person on Facebook…..

It happens so often, it is becoming annoying and I feel bad for people waiting for their things 😢

After actually talked to one of the 'manager' at the local Walmart about my order, she managed to changed my order from DoorDash to Fedex. I was actually very surprised they would do that, but maybe I am lucky.

I did looked at the Senn link Squish posted and ordered the CX buds for myself. Thanks Squish!

Of course wife saw what I did, so I had to ordered a pair of Merrell hiking boots for her to 'compensate' for me getting my own earbuds....

Home delivery has become one of the most salient (but not looking like it's just temporary) features of our emerging pandemic "culture." But since there is such a dearth of the sort of unskilled worker who normally fill these jobs, Whatever they promise you is most likely bullsh**.

It's gotten so bad that even the delivery people for Whole Foods have started lying, postponing, obfuscating and otherwise making the feeblest of attempts to make you believe things such as - "congrats, your next on our list." Except after about an hour, that seemed rather doubtful.
