QFT, they really are that bad, ive never seen a company mistreat employees the way walmart does.

She can easily find a job that pays almost 1.5-2.0X the wage that she gets now just by using a temp agency. Or she could use those skills she acquired and work for another retailer, no problem.

But she shouldn't have gone for a demotion, that is just bad business sense anywhere you work. If you don't like the job, quit and find another one. Demotions look bad on your resume. Quitting as a Manager looks okay.

Chain of command at walmart:

Associate => Team leader => dept manager => co GM (doesnt exsist at smaller stores) => GM

Yeah i actually heard the DC jobs were a lot better, i was thinking about getting a job at our local DC before i quit.

When I left the store, after 3.5 yrs, I made 8.10 an hour.

I've been at the DC for just over a year, and I make 16.05 + incentive + quarterly bonuses. Night and day.

Its amazing how retarded walmart is about cost control, but once you leave the stores, their wages get competitive again.

I was making $9.55 as an hourly associate at sams, i had my 1yr 3 days before i quit.

Yeah murphy knows what he's talking about with store positions, 5+ years at walmart myself. I may end up at the new grocery warehouse soon if I can't find a job here shortly.
