Bad thermal throttling
Do not buy. Extreme overheating issues. Search teambg review on YouTube.

Seems there may be a reason for lowered price? Sigh.

Edit: And now I learned, that Zen3 CPUs will "boost" until they hit 95C normally. As in, they're designed to hit 95C during normal course of operation.

Nice deal, reviews mention that it gets a bit warm and the fans can be a little loud. 150W power supply! Only 1 NVMe slot and no SSD slot.

After looking at the prices on Gaming laptops with 5800H in them on Newegg, I decided to go with this one, as it actually seems like a deal... for now. I'm sure that the upcoming RDNA2-based APUs are probably going to perform as well, at a lower cost and power envelope.

Here's a preview vid from etaprime on the 6800U / 680M. 60fps in most titles, except for GodofWar and Halo Inf.

@DAPUNISHER , am I foolish for going for this?? FHD 144Hz display. Unsure if the RX5500M has 4GB or 8GB of VRAM, I'm going to assume 4GB. That might limit the longevity of the laptop vis-a-via game requirements in the future.

Edit: Yep, 4GB VRAM.

Small review, with some benchmark results:

Just an FYI. I'm an old-school Hot Deals Addict. I probably personally purchase more than 25% of the different deals that I post, other than furniture deals (small apt. - no extra room!). Probably closer the 50% if we're talking about PC building components.

So you know I'm honest about these deals, because I "partake" too, more than likely.

Anyways, I got my laptop today, haven't opened it yet.

Edit: These are still showing as available.
