Walls before and after.

I'm remodeling/renovating one of my bathrooms in my 1900's era home. At this point I am skimcoating the walls and it hasn't been easy to figure out how to do it properly. I finally came up with a way to do it that looks acceptable.

Here a a couple of before and after pics of what I am doing:

This is what the walls and ceiling look like now.

This is a finished wall that looked as nasty as the other.

Rape me, berate me.. or eat me. I'm kinda proud to be able to turn a nasty looking wall into something pleasing to the eye. 😀

One little suggestion, make sure you either strip the old paint from the door hinges or replace them w/ new hardware for that completely new look 🙂

My wife is satisfied with the jackhammer I already have, but have been looking at the Porter Cable brad nailer to install the toe molding after the tiles. 🙂
