Will the detergent/water affect the magnetic strips on bank/credit cards etc?
Thanks in advance

Yes, due to the bond angle between the two hydrogen atoms in a water molecule, water forms a strong magnetic material even in its liquid state. The resulting magnetic field will easily scramble all data on your credit cards.

In fact, if you put the same credit cards in the same water often enough, the water will evolve and adapt and learn to not only scramble your credit cards, but also send a wireless transmission using your credit card number(s) to buy large quantities of beer.

Nope, water shouldn't bother them. On the other hand, if you were a physics teacher, and were prone to carrying around strong neodymium magnets in your pockets for a couple weeks while working on a magnetism unit, you'd discover that you had erased *all* of your cards, license, etc.

if you were to do that, some might call you a maroon!
