Consider for the most part that people will always cut their own cables to their own specified lengths, it would not make sense to have them limited on the ends.

What they should do is include a few banana plugs when you purchase speaker wire :)

I don't know if it's a better option but I like to use the modular Keystone Jacks.

Pretty much lets you build your own custom wall plate with all the various jacks and face plates ...

Edit: Leviton has a more complete higher priced line --->> here

Since its pretty much not going to change once i put it in i see no need for the keystones
