Wall Mounts

I'm close to ordering a LG Infinia 55LE8500 that I plan to wall mount. There seems to be a huge amount of choices when it comes to mounts: flat, tilt or articulating. Based on the weight of this TV vs plasma's, I doubt I need a heavy duty mount, so mounting it flush on the wall is an option. However, is it worth the extra money to get a tilting or articulating mount?

Tilting is a huge deal for me. All 3 plasmas we have mounted HAVE to have tilt. Slightly tilt down and to either side depending on room setup... A TV setting flush against the wall, close to the ceiling isn't really comfortable for viewing.. Spend the extra couple bucks and do it right.. If not you'll kick yourself later... I know I did...

It really depends on your setup. I plan to get an articulating mount for my 32" LCD TV. I use it as my computer monitor, but my wife watches shows on it while on her bike trainer, and I play the PS2 from the couch. Right now I just physically turn the TV, but it would be great to pull it out from the wall and turn it toward the bike trainer and the couch.

My 50" plasma TV OTOH doesn't need an articulating mount. All of the seating is basically right in front of it. I plan to use a tilt mount for easier access to the cables, but I don't plan on tilting it otherwise.

Unless you need to turn it because of an odd room configuration skip the cantilever mount (articulating) as it will just make the tv hang further from the wall when you have it pushed back.

Articulating arms are nice when you want a tv in a corner or have an odd room configuration where you may have more than one seating location at severe view angles.

And honestly, you'll be cleaning fingerprints off you tv much less often if you just get a tilt mount.

How is the room laid out?

Room kinda looks like this

nvm... spacing didn't take on the diagram. Tilting is the way to go on this setup. Thanks everyone!
