Wall mount or Stand?

Going to be doing some major seating changes...and I think wall mounting my 60" vizio will be key to making things look clean...but I don't want to go through the plaster/lathe wall for wiring and also don't want a strip on the wall to hide the wires. I'll also have to invest in a new 1080p compatible AV unit.

What do you prefer, wall mounted or standing on an entertainment center?
