Walk from S.F. BART to Japantown

Hey guys,

Looking to walk from the closest BART station to Japantown tomorrow morning. Google and Yahoo Maps both say it would be around 1.3 miles if I were driving, but I was curious if anyone has walked? If so, which route would you recommend?

I figure a nice scenic walk is better than taking the bus. ]

Take the 38. Not sure if it goes near civic center though.

My friend and I decided to enjoy the weather by walking on Geary from Union Square to Japantown.

It was a lovely day.

LOL i remember doing exactly that when I visited SF for a Chem Eng conference. Its a nice walk.

Get off at Civic Center, walk up Van Ness, stop at Tommies Joint on the corner of Van Ness and Geary for lunch (VERY good), then walk up Geary.

that's a good suggestion, you should do that..

take the 79 from civic center to geary, take the 38 to j-town... if you want to take the bus
