Waldorf Schools. Anybody here been a student at one?

A few people i work with send their kids to a Waldorf School just up the road. I had no idea what their program was like until they told me and I read their website.

Just wondering if anybody here has gone through their program K-12 and did you feel prepared for college?

A kid that my girlfriend used to babysit goes to a Waldorf school here in Sacramento. It's nice to see a focus on personal development and of things like foregin language, theater, and the arts. It seems like a great way to expose kids to a wider range of things beyond mathematics, literature and science. One of my concerns, and this is what I've heard from my girlfriend, is that the school kind of has this New Age quasi-religion thing going. Another is how prepared these children will be when they go on to high-school or college, because of the sheltered environment they are brought up in.

Just my 2 cents...

I went to a Waldorf school up until age 12, when i joined in with the rest of the kids i was like 2 years ahead

I went to a Montessori school until age 11.
I'm not sure how it compares to Waldorf.
But I was learning algebra and doing college level spelling at age 10.
It was a little lacking in writing skills though.
When I went into public school, I skipped ahead a grade because my parents and teachers thought I would be bored if I didn't.

A whole bunch of friends of mine graduated from Waldorf schools. However, I never will like Westlake; too snobby. I could deal with some Thomas Stoners, though.
