i don't see the connection

Wal Mart goes out of its way to control what people are able to buy, yet they sell about book about how their own company is destroying the world and you do not think that is screwed up?

i disagree. not selling explicit lyric music isn't "trying to control what people are able to buy"
you are free to buy that stuff from another retailer. wal-mart isn't trying to get other retailers to not sell it

again, i don't see the connection between their policy on music and selling this book. it isn't the same thing at all

The connection involves how people perceive Wal-Mart...

buy selling this book it isn't EXACTLY helping their image.

I fail to see the connection as well. If anything, Walmart has enough sense of humor and self confidence to sell this kind of book. After all, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

It's just funny that they are selling this book.
As far as the Edited music policy, they don't really have anything that stands out and says it's edited. It's in small print because once you open the CD you can't return it.

Then you guys aren't seeing the main problem with Walmart censorship. In some small towns there are no other retailers because Walmart has driven them out of business. They can't just go to another store and buy the album with the explicit lyrics because Walmart is some peoples only real retail source. I think the point is that they're really so powerful they don't care if people bad-mouth them. They'll keep on doing what they do and there's nothing you can do about it.

Huh? so Walmart is controlling what you buy? By your logic, because they don't sell dildos, they're controlling what many women buy too?

You gotta love the logic behind the Walmart hating.

Man some of you people are taking this way too far. I suppose some people have nothing better to do by try to make big deals out of stuff. I go to Wal Mart all the time, where I live I have few other options so I deal with it. This whole thing started off because it is FUNNY Wal Mart is selling this book, when they normally fail to sell come things people may want to buy. My whole point was that Wal Mart typically screens what they sell to make sure it is "appropriate" for them to sell, or whatever they do. Yet they sell a book about how much their company sucks.

Do not worry CPA, I am sure you have plenty of sources to keep buying your dildos :p

i don't understand "wal-mart == evil" :confused: this isn't the 50's
the same people that cry about this would have cried about wagon makers and buggy whip makers being driven out of business by cars

I mean, what's the point?

The point is using the most of the display as possible and getting a bigger picture. Not everyone has a 27" or larger TV. Mine's a 32" and WS still makes some of the pictures seem too small. While having the full width does add a little to the shows, it's ususally not necessary as almost nothing essential to the story is shown in that area.

You're assuming they all have internet access on top of assuming they all have credit cards to buy anything on the internet??? Shame.
