I get like eight hours of sleep and I wake up feeling like shit. What the hell is wrong with the world? Seriously... I want to wake up feeling like, "Fuck yeah, it's going to be an awesome day!"

Maybe you need more than eight? I read an article a while back saying that the lack of sleep adds up...so are you getting an AVERAGE of eight hours in a period of a few days?

I've been there before. Try this:

-45 minutes of exercise every day
-30 minutes of direct sunshine every day
-Drink plenty of water
-High fiber diet
-No caffeine after 2pm (assuming you go to bed at 10pm)
-No food after 7pm (same)
-Sleep in a dark, quiet room
-Don't watch TV or anything in bed. Your bed is for sleeping.
-Take 3mg of Melatonin if the above still doesn't work.

Probably. Idk. Sometimes I am averaging less than eight.. Sometimes like six-seven. It depends. I am really trying to get no more than nine from now on because I used to sleep like 12 hours if I could. (I slept for like 16 once...)

fixed

He's not lazy. Look at his other thread. He has no motivation, no ambition, no desire, and can't get out of bed in the morning. He's depressed as hell and whether that depression is systemic (lots of people lose motivation around 18 - 20) or caused by something else, he needs to figure that shit out before it completely consumes him.

Before the AT medical establishment starts calling him depressed and shoving pills in his mouth, I'd like to see what happens if he tries my plan for a month.

Never happen. He's far too fucking lazy and feels too sorry for himself to actually do something that might improve his lot in life.

I didn't say anything about pills. The kid need to break out of his depression. What you're suggesting will help and I think that counseling would also do him some good.

It's even better to wake up and realize that the mildly-sick feeling experienced the day before hasn't gone away, and that it's gotten a bit worse. Couple with that the fact that you live alone, and won't have any parents around to kindly help you out as you sit around feeling like crap.

Though in a way, being slightly sick on the weekend is better than being slightly sick at work.
