I'm having an issue with win 7 sp1. Once it goes to sleep, I can wake it with the mouse or keyboard; that is to say, I can get the display to come up and the mouse pointer will move, but everything is unresponsive. Nothing on the taskbar or the start menu will work, including shutting down the machine. It's a 6 sec pwr button push and warning msg on startup every time. I have simply told it not to sleep, but can anyone suggest a cause/solution? thanks

thanks Hosed, i'll give it a try! i've been a little suspicious of the ram in general. I have a pair of 2 gigs and a pair of 1 gigs, and 7 wouldn't install at all untill I pulled out the second pair. It does seem to work well enough otherwise and reports the full 6 gig, but maybe you're on the right track. thanks again.
