Wake from Sleep after Windows Creators update (Solved)

Computer has Asus Z170-E with i3 6100. I'm using built in graphics. After installing the Creators update, when I try to resume from sleep, the screen is filled with different colored lines. I can make out a rectangle that appears to be the cursor but that is it. I can log in and reboot using keyboard shortcuts and everything is fine until it goes back to sleep? Anyone else having problems with this or have a solution? Thanks
 
Interesting. I have a more complex gauntlet to run on this, so the info here is good to file away as possible detours and obstacles.
