becareful of the ch-5... it's sort of fickle with the nforce2 boards... i tried two different sticks of 512 megs winbond ch-5 and neither could pass memtest86 even with 2.9 volts on the vdimm...

oops this was with the abit nf7-s

As long as we're highjacking Lyfer's XP2500+ thread, I'll jump in about CH5 mem chips.

For PC3700 (CH5 chips) in sig system:
2/2/2/5 timings to 220MHz @ 2.77Vdimm
2/2/2/5 timings to 222MHz @ 2.9Vdimm
2.5/2/2/7 to 230MHz @ 2.9Vdimm
Can't run error-free above 230MHz - perhaps because I'm Vdimm limited to 2.9V.
Best memory bandwidth at Tras latency 7.

I don't see a problem with CH5 memory chips.

Hope this helps!

Thanx for the info guys! What you guys think of the Geil PC3200 Basic at newegg for $45 per 256mb?
