While as cool as that truck is there is no way in hell I would ever want to daily it. WAY to inefficient and lacks sooo many safety features and sooo many creature comforts that modern vehicles offer.
An yeah I know some of you guys are gonna say "I don't need any of that crap just give me a vehicle that I can just drive." and to that I say bullshit.

I really doubt that's his daily driver. I mean...it COULD be...but like you, I wouldn't have one for that...too many stupid people on the road. ORIGINAL parts for those are...difficult to come by.

Sure, I get that. I was just pointing out that while his truck is really cool there is no way in hell I would choose it over any other modern truck including the Cybertruck. Which IMO is vaporware at this point.
Anyway, I get a truck from 1962 has it's place and that place is a garage 10 months out of the year.

Yeah sure, and ABS, SRS, four-wheel disk brakes, side curtain SRS, 30 mpg, heated seats, heated steering wheel, power mirrors, locks, and windows.......omg the list could go on and on but how much are you willing to spend to restomod a truck like that to give you modern amenities and safety features?

You'd be surprised. I know more than few guys who are $100k+ deep into their vintage restomod projects. Fuel injection with data logging, air suspensions, custom CNC-cut wheels specific to their project, etc. People get crazy deep into this stuff lol. But I guess it's really no different than getting an 18-core CPU with DDR5, LED watercooling, high-end mechanical keyboards, giant curved screens, etc.

I did not mean to hijack the thread. Just thought it was funny because every time I am driving it and I see a Tesla I think this truck is the exact opposite of a Tesla.

I bought it 2 years ago because I need a truck, but I do not want to daily drive a truck. I told my wife, as long as we are buying a truck might as well by a cool one. I wanted a truck in as original condition as possible, but my wife did not want me to get an original engine, so this was a good compromise. I could have bought a truck like this with all of the modern amenities for about 25K to 30K, but that is not what I wanted. To me the driving experience of driving an old truck is awesome.

BTW, it is a 1941 Ford.

I am fully aware that every car on the road can stop a lot faster than I can and I leave enough room. I can take it on the Freeway but I choose not to, again just because of the stopping distance.

It's a nice old truck... Fun to drive. As pointed out, perhaps not as safe as newer vehicles, but WAAAHOOOO!
