I just watched this and it was the funniest movie I have seen in quite some time. It is supposed to be a documentary about the making of a play in the town of Blaine, Missouri. Really an odd movie, but it'll keep you laughing. This is from the same director of A Mighty Wind. Check it out, you'll like it.

Christopher Guest is great. Great in Spinal Tap, working on the Simpsons, and all of his movies are very entertaining.

I never understood the appeal of these movies. I watched all of Best in Show and it was ok, but kind of annoying. Waiting for Guffman was just painful to watch and I had to turn it off halfway through. How can people find this crap funny? Yeah, I know i'm in the minority, but I just don't understand.

It's just a different sense of humor. If you don't get it, you don't get it. I am sure there are things that you think are funny that people here would contest as being humorous.

Yeah, my parents were just like wtf? Me and my brother were rolling on the floor laughing though. Either you get it, or you don't. :p

Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind. Quite the credentials. ;)

I just saw A Mighty Wind on Saturday night, and loved it. Pegged the folk scene dead-on. ;)

I've only seen best in show and it was hysterical. I read an article about Guest the other day and I want to see waiting for Guffman and A mighty wind too.
