I have never been a waiter, but I start tommorow working for a nice sushi place in miami beach. Any advice, or comments?

Yes it's true. If you don't slap them in the butt the proper way (open hand swing from UNDER and ACROSS) you will get your hand chopped off with an old kitchen knife. I used to be head waitstaff for a high end Japanese restaurant in midtown Manhattan.
