Its a ploy to force us hardcore gamers to try out the casual gamer side of things and get addicted to the Sims series ... I'd rather gnaw my fingers off joint by joint then play any of the Sims series (unless they come out with a Sims serial killer game).

back off son
sims is the best game that humans have ever created
life is not all about blood and goore
sims is like a diversion for those who got bored killing people
and wanna get people better instead of killing them

Why would i want to sit in a chair and play a gimped version of real life?

To meet virtual women.

KT

I just make chicks and have them all be lesbians. From time to time she will make out with the delivery guy and take her baths in the bathtub thats on the back porch.

Sweet. We should virtually hang out some time.

KT

That sounds like a virtually good idea! You bring the drinks, I'll bring the lesbians!

I'm not pre-ordering or anything like that but I might pick this up pending reviews and once we know what the DRM on it actually turns out to be.

Wasted a lot of time on the original Sims

Personally, I was planning on checking out Spore but wasn't in any way interested after its DRM came to light

It will use SecuROM v7.x disc check version, but not the activation based / install limit version like Spore. For a detailed description of the two look here: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...ey=y&keyword1=drm+list
