I mean, all i know the Titanium will have is a 220/470, as opposed the the regular one of 220/460. is it worth waiting for 10mhz higher ram clock?

Actually you don't know that will be the speed of the Titanium. I highly doubt Nvidia would introduce a second gen GF3 @ that clockspeed considering that the Gainward Golden Samples are guaranteed to run @ 220/480.

Some rumors indicate that it will be running @ 260-280/560 MHZ. Pretty freaking fast. Supposedly there are a few other optimizations and hardware changes as well.

I would wait another week. They are supposed to be in stock @ Best Buy on the 26th.

Remember that prices of the regular GF3 will drop @ the introduction of a new part. It's a win-win situation if you wait.

To be honest I don't think they'll drop much at all. After all, its not a major leap in technology to the Ti versions, and I doubt the older ones are just going to fall into sellers laps. I would be surprised if you save more than 30-50dollarpounds by getting an older one.

The Ti's got more enhanced vertex and pixel shaders.

The stock speed of a gf3 is 200/460 anyway, or at least that's what I've been led to believe so far - and what mine was when I bought it.

default clock on GF3 boards are 200/460... If there is to be a GF3 "Ultra" it should be at least an overclocked GPU (as the GF2 Ultra was), and if it is like the GF2 Ultra, the faster GF3 should come with faster ram... GF3 uses 3.8ns DDR, so we are looking at 3.5 or 3.3 ns DDR RAM? I would predict that this "faster" GF3 will be clocked @ 250-280 core / 520-600 ram (3.3 ns DDR ram is really fast). Then again this is just my reasoning coming from certain trends.

hmm -- maybe I got of one of the GF3 ultras by mistake. :)

Mine will do 250/565 -- completes 3dmark2k1 and everything.

But I just run it at 240/550 before when I play games -- and stock speed when I am not.

Visiontek GF3's rule!!!
