I am wondering the same thing. Will the DDR boards have clock multiplier adjustments like A7V and KT7? AMD is making it harder to adjust clock multiplier, so MB manufacturers might not support it anymore.
With the price of PC133 RAM going up and DDR RAM going down, it might be wise to wait for DDR boards.
Wait, DDR boards are going to fetch premium prices, but "old" chipset style boards both new and used are going to plummet. As well as PC133 memory. I'm just wondering on what kind of performance these new DDR boards are realy going to offer. I geuss were going to find out next month?
It all depends... if you have a decent amount of good sdram now, i'd say just get the KT7 and don't worry about ddr. If you're starting from scratch, then, sure, go for the DDR
I've already got 256MB of Crusial PC133 CAS 2...good stuff. So I'd have to buy all new RAM in addition to the motherboard. I would be nice to get a cheaper price on a KT7-RAID, though...
According to reports out, DDR boards & ram is giving 7% - 10% performance increase accross the board but the prices for the boards are suppose to begin in the $250 range!
