waht do you think of this monitor?

It's obviously going to be great for gaming, but I would be concerned about color quality for non-gaming applications (many of the really fast panels only display 6 bits per color instead of the 8 bits per color used by better panels and CRTs). If Photoshop isn't a part of your day, but gaming consumes most of it, then I don't see why you wouldn't like this LCD. :)

ok i wont be buying right now im still jsut reasarching i was at best buy today and that one stood out and the clearest.

Yup, I saw this monitor at fry's and it also stuck out as the clearest most vibrant. I was tempted to buy one but they were out of stock anyways. It was their most expensive 19" monitor in the store.

I wonder if stores make their more expensive models look better compared to cheaper models that may look just as good?

Look at the Dell 1905FP and Hyundai L90D+. Both are excellent 19" LCD monitor that are suited for gaming. The Dell can be had for under $300 if you wait for some good coupons and the L90D+ for around $350. Both are great (the two I am deciding between) and much cheaper than that NEC...
