i have an asus a7v taisol cgk760092

and 1ghz tbird

what are some normal temps for it?

right now idle is 43c

Sounds very high.. I've got a 1.2ghz t-bird with a cheapo coolermaster fan and I idle at about 39c-42c (in a pretty warm room) on my A7V133 motherboard. You use good thermal paste and get it applied right? Also, be sure to tell us what kind of mobo it's on - Some report different temps than others.

A7Vs are known to report the temp a bit higher than others as far as I remember.

My idle temp with a 750 T-bird on an A7V using a Gorb is about 43c

That's with a room temp of 22.

For that board your doing good. Now overclock that 1ghz and see what you can get...........😀

Oh,no now I'm a carrier of the overclocking bug....:Q🙂😉

What is your ambient temperature? If your room temp is 60f then your temp is too high. If your room temp is 95f then your temp is great.
