Just need my wife to get a w7 form filled out and signed along with her passport copy with a notory on it.

Dang another 55 bucks for that. Oh well, at least I don't have to claim single anymore.

You do now LoB. We just married on december 27. It has yet to set in. :) She lives in thailand and we are working on getting her over here. So she works, but just over there. So I don't have to claim her income :). Which means tax money for me wahoo.

Even if you're married on Dec. 31 the IRS considers you married for the whole year.

Once you submit the W7, with all the info IRS wants, it will take 6-8 weeks for her ITIN card to be mailed. After 4-5 weeks call (215)516-3301 and ask for her number so you don't have to wait to file your tax return until after the card arrives in the mail.
