Hmm...most of these don't look like wagons to me. What's the deal? Did Edmunds just decide to turn its wagons into sedans?

I see, they give links to the sedans at the top of the page when you click on the wagon, and the pictures in the list are of sedans, as well. But, the wagon links are at the bottom.

Blame the retarded American auto consumers for killing real wagons. Hell, they used to be able to haul 4'x8' sheets of plywood with the tailgate closed! Not to mention massive towing ability, and standard drive train and chassis components. Oh, but that was no good, now we're stuck with mini vans and the crap you linked to. Guess that's progress, eh?

Sure is. Where's the market for "real wagons?"

Gee, I don't know, why not ask archcommus?

Why not ask the 50% of new vehicle purchasers who choose trucks over a car? Ever stop and think that maybe a station wagon would better fill the bill? I guarantee it would be cheaper and easier to repair than these damn FWD minivans!

Your argument is fallacious.

Americans don't want "cheaper and easier to repair." They want "more stylish and more trendy." I'd hazard that 95% of car owners don't do their own maintenance in the first place - not even oil changes.

It would better fit the bill according to whose tastes? You yourself said it was the consumers who killed off the station wagon

"They want "more stylish and more trendy."

That is a fact, and that's also why I say they're retarded!

It would better fit the bill according to whose tastes?

Form follows function, in my book, and a real wagon will cart everything their truck or SUV can, plus tow, be easier to maneuver, not roll over, and be cheaper to fix and maintain.

Oh ok...so in your book. So there's a market for one wagon :)

I purchased this shiny aluminum gadget at the Company Store when I was an intern in Apple's DVD Studio Pro group ? not because it filled a need or was desperately useful, but because it's so elegantly designed. It's essentially a one-axis, one-button mouse -- you can rotate the top left and right, and push down to click. It makes for a great volume knob, and although I can program it to do many other things, that's what it does best.

Did I mention that it glows blue at the base? And that it pulses when the computer is sleeping? Too cool!
